Some days, my heart seems like it could just BURST for all the cuteness that goes on in my studio! These two darlings arrived (one was still sleeping) with their brightest smiles and seriously gave me their best for our entire time together. Big brother Sam was super agreeable, saying "yeah!" to everything I asked him. It was pretty funny. Little Ben (the sleepy arrival) was all smiles & giggles, which made me melt of course! Honestly, I could do this all day, every day. Thanks for coming down, guys!

This beautiful woman is one of my dearest friends, Sarah. She owns the most dangerous store in all of Whitehorse - Bella Home Decor. Every time I set foot in her store, I want everything! And I guess the silver lining to my recent house fire disaster is that I get to replace as much of my stuff from her darling shop as my little heart desires!! Yippee!! 

And these little cuties are her sweet twins, Coco & Luka. They are busy, chatty and highly entertaining three year olds and I can't get enough of photographing them. These guys were my last session of the day and I can't think of a better way to end a super fun, creative day than by photographing this bunch. 

Best job in the world. For reals.

Another amazing family joined me in the studio to celebrate their mama! This time, I was delighted to welcome my friend Tiff and her awesome, hilarious (and cheeky!) kiddos - Oscar, Hugo & Clementine. I can't wait to photograph these kids again later in the year. Maybe an outdoor session is better suited to these crazy monkeys! LOL

oh boy! This is one seriously stunning bunch of ladies. Each one has a sparkling, unique personality and all three little ladies share the most kind-hearted, sincere, thoughtful mama. I'm so glad that my Mama's Day cupcakes & champagne event was attended by this incredible family. Knowing people like Katherine, her three pretty little girls and Katherine's husband, Paul is such a gift. My life becomes richer and richer every day. Thank you for joining us!!

This little boy seriously saved me, creatively. After our house fire on March 29th, I was terrified to pick up the camera because I didn't know if I could still do it. I didn't know if my creative "stuff" was too affected by the trauma of losing everything... but, it turns out that when you are THIS cute, silly and fun to be around, it's impossible to not have a great time and channel all that great creative stuff that allows me to do what I do. Braylen came into the studio with his mama (who I think is pretty fantastic, as a matter of fact) who had every confidence in what kind of magic we could make in this session. She was right, I could still do it and her kind encouragement and Braylen's unedited charm kicked me in the pants and got me right back in the saddle. Thank you, Shannon & Braylen. I might still be chickening out, afraid of my camera if it weren't for this session.

This is Braylen's beloved Elmo. So of course, after seeing affectionate displays like this, I figured that Elmo needed his own portrait.

Yeah, Elmo might be sporting a little crazy-eye but it's the result of lovin' and squeezin' like the image above. <3

Look at these two lovelies! It should come as no surprise that sweet Isabella is a beauty - after all, just look at her mama, Katie. Clearly, it runs in the family. I adore sessions like these. Short & sweet but so very darling. I could seriously do sessions JUST like this, all day every day.

What a beautiful group of girls! For those of you who don't know, this is Betty Burns of Angellina's Toy Boutique fame and her daughters Angellina (back right), Stella Maris (left front) and Ave Maria (right front). They are all so lovely and photographing this stunning group of ladies was one of many highlights to my Mother's Day cupcakes & champagne event. Thank you for coming out everyone!

It just doesn't get better than this. I swear. These sweet mom & babe moments make my heart pitter-patter and I think that you'll agree.This is Finlay and his lovely mama, Anne. I photographed Anne when she was pregnant (see the photos here) and now, I'm so excited to be photographing this brown eyed darling, Finlay! He's scheduled for a birthday session next month, which I'm super excited about. Maybe it's the brown eyes that make me get so mooshy, or maybe it's the cheeks... or a combination? I dont' know but he is a doll, isn't he?

Meet Lindsay and her daughter Sari. Lindsay is one half of the incredible duo that is Sweet Tooth Events. They make the most delectable treats (cupcake masters, in my opinion!) and decorate a dessert table like no one else! I am constantly thinking of reasons to hire them. Seriously, if you have an engagement party, bridal shower, baby shower, girlfriends' tea party, kids' birthday party, corporate event or wedding, seriously talk to these two. You won't regret it, not for one second. Okay, maybe when you realize your pants are a little tighter for all the cupcakes (and caramel & chocolate covered pretzels) you ate but really, as far as downsides go, that's totally do-able, right?

 Anyway, Lindsay and her beautiful little girl, Sari were the first to get in front of my lens for my special Mama's Day event on May 11th. Thanks for coming down, ladies! I hope you had as much fun as I did!!

Oh seriously! This little hambone, Braylen was the first kiddo that I photographed after the fire. I was terrified of the session because I worried that I'd lost my mojo in the fire too... but it turns out that when you put a silly 2 year old in the studio and turn on the camera equipment (and a little LMFAO) apparently my mojo comes out of hiding and total hilarious behavior ensues! See the image below to get an idea of what I'm talkin' about!

These two sweet little girls just melted my heart. The giggling was intense, the hugging went on and on and seriously, how do you not totally fall in love with those delicious chubby baby rolls?!?!

When little ones like Levi come to see me at the studio, it's really hard work... hard in the sense that I can't stop shooting. I pull out all my blankets, hats, wraps, bins, baskets and seriously can't stop myself. Especially when they are givin' me gold like this guy. How is it that there are SO many incredibly beautiful babies and I get to photograph them? Kinda like winning the jackpot :)

Working with clients who are totally open to anything I suggest, who get their hair done right before the shoot and who put a little extra into their makeup is one of my favorite things in the world... because it allows me to make awesomeness like this::

How it works

Call the studio to pick your session time. Session fee must be paid at the time of booking. Sessions are 30 minutes long and $100each. There is no print requirement. Sessions are first come, first served. Mamas & kids only please. Sorry, dads, pets, friends... you'll have to wait for another time. 

We'll be serving pretty cupcakes from Sweet Tooth Events and champagne to celebrate you being such awesome mamas!!

Sometimes, once in a while, I get to do really fun things. Okay, honestly, every time I show up at work I get to do really fun things. This session was no exception! Hudson was all smiles and charm (and makin' a break for it with his new-found mobility!) but when he was showing signs of needing a wee nap, we brought out the cake. He wasn't so sure what to do with it at first, then he realized it was YUMMY! Then it was party time!
